Community Involvement

Darrell belongs to and is active in many community organizations, including:

• The Salvation Army Advisory Board, Springfield (Vice Chairman, 2009- )
• The Ozarks Fighting Back Advisory Board (President 2002-2005, 2007-present; President, Agency/Business Coalition 1994-1995, 1996-1998)
• The Interagency Task Force on Gangs and Youth Violence (Chairman, 1995, 1999)
• The Underage Drinking Task Force
• The Community Partnership of the Ozarks Board
• Ambassadors for Children Advisory Board
• The Fight Crime: Invest in Kids Missouri Advisory Committee
• First Baptist Church, Springfield (member since 1982; Deacon; college and career Sunday School teacher since 2007; Chairman of Deacons 1999, discipleship training director 1987-90, 1992-93, Youth Sunday School teacher 1983-2004)

In 2003, Darrell was honored with the "Top DWI Prosecutor's Award" from MADD.
